The last version of the Windows Live Essentials software suite. You can no longer download Windows Live Essentials from Microsoft or use the web downloader. Windows Live Essentials was a free software suite available for Windows, it included a photo gallery, video editor, email client, blogging word processor, OneDrive an online storage client , and a messaging application. If you run the installer on Windows 7, you can install Family Safety, which adds parental controls features in Windows 7.
Since this service is online connected, it probably doesn't work with web reports, as was touted as a headline feature. When it was still being supported and new versions were being released, it was feature-rich software suite. You must be running Windows 7 or later to run Windows Live Essentials Note that some functionality, such as Messenger, no longer function. I am always scared that I will get a virus on my computer from downloading pretty old things. I tried it on a virtual machine, and worked. So for those people who are not sure if it is the thing, it is and it's safe.

I've been looking for Movie Maker for soooo long and finally a way to get it back on the PC. You are my hero! To second what the others have said: When you download the file, windows will probably install framework first it did for me , then it progressed to installing the actual program. I selected only 'gallery and movie maker'. Works perfectly, thanks again mate. However, if did install and works fine. The cause of the problem might be that before installing the program itself, it needs to install Framework 3.

I have a new Lenovo that has just about everything imaginable on it except one thing. The Photo Gallery that I have come to depend on for so many years. It was so easy to use and served the purpose. I was so happy to find this. At first it said error but on 2nd try it was there at the bottom of the page.
I needed to follow a couple of extra steps that my pc didn't have but it found them and installed and completed installation. It's perfect. Thank you so much!!!
